Good News: You have less of a chance of being killed in 2010!

The National Center for Health Statistics reported today that homicide has dropped out of the top 15 causes of death in the US.  The top 10 causes of death in 2010 are:

1.     Heart Disease
2.     Cancer
3.     Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease
4.     Stroke
5.     Accidents
6.     Alzheimer’s Disease
7.     Diabetes
8.     Nephritis
9.     Influenza
10. Suicide

The bad news is that you now have fewer excuses for your death than you did when someone did it for you.  For there is no mystery to the global remedies to markedly reduce each and everyone of these conditions by doing simple things that almost everyone in the world should know by now.  But some don't have the means to change their lot, most do not have the will (until its too late), for some its a matter of bad luck, and for others, strong genetic predisposition renders human intervention futile.  I'm one of the lucky ones, I appreciate every day that I wake up and recognize myself in the mirror, especially if its the day after I paint my beard to hide that unrelenting grey.
