Heritage Classic 2014 - a few more Pics

Navigating the Park West Photography website: parkwestphoto.photoreflect.com/was no small chore.  I was looking for inspiration and some friendly looking poses from this latest of competitions.  Clearly I have not been the best of customers for Park West so I don't blame them from relegating me to a low rung on the totem pole in terms of the focus of their camera.  Still I was able to sift through the thousands of picture and come up with a few interesting shots.  It took me a while to choose these three. My favorite picture would have been unacceptable to my dance teacher despite its positive active movement qualities in that I was looking down rather than up so I decided to not choose that one for display.  The three displayed below were chosen for different reasons.

Happily, a picture during international ballroom that displays a pleasant looking
me rather than the usual gruff look or pained expression typical of the past ..........

I am so lucky that Yanna perfectly matches my height and body habitus...
now if I can only learn to dance, we would really look good together!

The Egyptian solo for the last time.

This picture which looks pretty good to me with decent posture and a sense of action also has an illusionary quality to it.  If you follow the line of my white robe, to the inattentive eye, it seems as though I am forming an X with Yanna's body and my feet are backward wearing Yanna's dance shoes. Then look at Yanna and follow the flow of the blue, and you will see that she looks like she is wearing black pants below her dress line, and her feet are backwards in my shoes. Yanna, please return my shoes to me as soon as possible!
